Bringing Your Horse to the USLA Conference at the World Equestrian Center
The USLA 2024 Lusitano Conference is set to be an exciting gathering for equestrians and their horses at the World Equestrian Center (WEC) in Ocala, Florida. With a packed schedule of master classes, inspections, and competitions, proper stabling arrangements are essential for a smooth experience. Here’s what you need to know about bringing your horse to the conference and the stabling options provided.
General Information about Stabling
All stabling for the USLA Conference components is organized in Barn Y. This includes stabling for the following activities:
- USLA Master Classes with Rafael Soto
- USLA Master Classes with Pedro Torres
- USLA Rising Stars Model & Movements competition
- USLA Inspection for Breeding.
Dressage Competition Stabling
Horses participating in the USEF/USDF Dressage Competition October 19-20 will be stabled in Barn X per USEF/USDF requirements. Barn X is managed separately by the USEF/USDF Show Team.
Horses participating in the Rafael Soto Master Classes and the USDF Dressage Competition will be stabled in Barn Y during the early part of the week and move to Barn X when it opens for the USDF Dressage Competition.
Shavings, Hay, and Feed
All Shavings must be purchased through World Equestrian Center – Ocala. No outside shavings permitted.
Feed and bedding can be purchased online after stalls are assigned. Stall assignments will go out no later than two days before the show starts. A link to the feed and bedding will be sent out with the stall assignments.Important logistics information:

Each horse brought into WEC must adhere to the following requirements.
- IMPORTANT: Documentation Requirements:
- Negative Coggins: Current within 12 months.
- Vaccination Records: Must include EHV I/IV and Equine Influenza, administered no sooner than 7 days and no later than 180 days before arrival.
- Signed Statement of Health or Health Certificate: Dated within 14 days of check-in.
- Trainer/Owner Health Declaration: New for 2024, confirming health status prior to arrival.
- Temperature Monitoring: Conduct twice-daily checks; log on the stall door chart.
- Health Monitoring: Report any signs of illness immediately to the Show Veterinarian and Horse Show Manager.
- Biosecurity Measures:
- Enforce strict hygiene, limit horse-to-horse contact.
- Sanitize shared equipment between uses.
- Braiders, vets, farriers, and therapists must disinfect hands and tools between horses.

Reserve Stabling
Selecting Stall Nights: Stabling is available from Monday, October 14, through Saturday, October 19, at a nightly cost of $50. To book stabling, select the specific nights your horses will be staying, and ensure the quantity reflects the number of horses, not the number of nights. Separate orders may be required if different horses are staying for varying durations.
Purchase Stabling by October 4th: Stabling for USLA activities must be purchased on the USLA website by October 4th. Be sure to complete this step to secure your horse's spot.
